Watch Beyonce and Jay Z’s “Run” Music Video — Starring Blake Lively, Sean Penn
Beyoncé and Jay Z are on the "Run" and they're taking everyone but Solange half of Hollywood with them!
The violent, expletive-heavy, 3 minute, 44-second video for "Run" — which is set up like a film trailer — starts with Jay sitting down with Sean Penn, and also features actors Don Cheadle, Jake Gyllenhaal, Blake Lively, Emmy Rossum, Guillermo Díaz, Rashida Jones, and Kidada Jones.
The “Run” video was directed by Melina Matsoukas. It was released on Saturday, May 17, right around the same time that Saturday Night Live was mocking Jay, Bey, and her sister Solange for their infamous elevator fight after the Met Gala. (Watch SNL's take on the events here.)
Jay and Bey are hitting the road with their On the Run Tour this summer, and maybe they'll include more celeb cameos in their live shows. (Tag in Justin Timberlake! And Solange!)
What do you think of this music video? Do you love it for its modern cinematic take on the Bonnie and Clyde story, or do you wish they had focused more on the song itself instead of turning it into a celeb-heavy preview for an action movie that is "coming never"?
