Watch Keri Lynn Roche Sing “Radioactive” in American Idol 2014, Detroit Auditions

We’ve reached the second week of American Idol and if last week's premiere was any indication, we're in for a phenomenal season! The show is already proving to be different from seasons past, as we’ve said goodbye to the judges’ squabbles and hello to Harry Connick, Jr! (Seriously, can that guy can’t get any more adorable? We don’t thinks so.)

Of course, the one thing that hasn’t changed are the numerous rounds of auditions. January 22’s episode finds the judges headed to Detroit in hopes of tracking down the country’s next big superstar.

It’s here where Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez, and Harry Connick Jr. meet 24-year-old waitress Keri Lynn Roche. She starts with a bluesy rendition of “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons and it’s clear she’s got talent. The judges want to hear her sing something without the guitar though, so she belts out “I’d Rather Go Blind” by Etta James. It’s a bold move for any singer to make, but one that pays off.

“What a way to start the day!” exclaims J.Lo. “I love your style, the way you emote when you’re singing.”

“Gosh, I like your voice!” adds Keith. “That was a good song choice. Absolutely, yes!”

What do you think of Keri’s performance? Will she make it to the Top 31? Read our spoilers here!
