On October 22, Team Cee Lo Green singers Shawn Smith and Jonny Gray belted out a duet to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Cee Lo chose the song because he felt it was a perfect blend between rock and country for the former military men. At their initial rehearsal, Miguel advised Jonny to bring more angst to the song, as Shawn naturally has a commanding voice.

During the last rehearsal, Shawn and Jonny struggled a bit with the pacing of the song, but ended the rehearsal with coach Cee Lo and mentor Miguel pleased.

Finally, the two military vets took the stage and sang with much conviction. Coach Adam Levine was thoroughly impressed by both men for singing an incredibly hard song but ultimately chose Jonny as his winner. Blake Shelton thought both men were great, but gave the battle to Shawn, aka Big Sexy, while Christina Aguilera casted her vote for Jonny.

After complimenting both singers on their different singing style, Cee Lo made the tough decision to choose Jonny over Shawn.

Do you think Jonny Gray deserved to win the battle rounds? Tell us below!
