Desiree Hartsock Is Designing Her Own Wedding Dress — What Will It Look Like?

It’s been a while since we’ve seen one of our beloved Bachelorettes get hitched — Ashley Hebert married J.P. Rosenbaum way back in 2012 — but we’ve finally got another right around the corner. Nope, it’s not Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray (though that doesn’t sound too far off either). It’s our Season 9 lead Desiree Hartsock and her hubby-to-be Chris Siegfried! And with their January nuptials fast approaching, Des is finally letting us in on the most important part: the dress!

For one, she’s got a fantastic designer picked out for the job — herself! Yep, Des is well-suited for the role, as well, considering she’s not only an accomplished fashion designer, but also just unveiled a new bridal line, Desiree Hartsock With Maggie Sotter.

Oh, and by the way, by dress we mean dresses! That’s right, the current Seattle native told Life & Style this week that she’s making not one but two gowns for the occasion.

“I am designing my ceremony dress and my reception dress,” Des told the mag last week.

Whew! Sounds like a hefty load to put on her already full plate as a bride, but at least you know you’ll like what you end up with!

So what does the 28 year old have in mind for the look of the dress? “It will be ivory for sure!” Desiree dishes. “The ceremony dress will be very appropriate. I’m going for vintage glamour with a vintage-inspired sheath gown with lace or beading. But I want to make sure I can dance in my reception dress. I’ve got to get down on the dance floor!”

Sounds like two winners! Now if only ABC would get on it and air this wedding for the rest of America to see...
