Wendy Williams’s Teenage Son, Kevin, Jr.: What Does He Look Like Now?
Wendy Williams is very open about her opinions of other celebs — her periodic spats are generally what gets her noticed in the news — but she does well in keeping details of her own life private. Notably, her teenage son, Kevin, Jr.
Kevin is the only child of the 49-year-old talk show host and her manager husband Kevin Hunter. In a pic from back in 2010, Wendy and her son are standing side by side and beaming from ear to ear as they snap a shot with Dora the Explorer at a Nickelodeon event. Since then, however, Wendy says she’s seen quite the change in her little boy (see how much he’s grown in the video below from his 2013 birthday party!).
According to the tell-it-like-it-is host, her son has been telling her like it is too and it’s making her upset. In late January, during a bit on her show about Madonna and her 13-year-old son Rocco, Wendy revealed that her own son “doesn’t like me anymore.” Even though this personal admission brought her to tears in front of a live audience, Wendy continued to explain some of the difficulties she’s faced as her son has entered his teenage years.
“I discovered this a while ago, but the ball just got smacked home this weekend,” Wendy said. “He’s all into his father — you know how 13-year-olds are. I was the same way when I was 13, but it is breaking my heart.”
Our advice: He’ll soon grow out of it. Kevin is just being a teen, looking for a stronger connection to the male role model in his life. Stay strong, Mama Wendy!
