What Does the Little Girl From Whale Rider Look Like Now?

Back in 2002, Keisha Castle-Hughes caught the world's eye as the star of Whale Rider, when 13-year-old Keisha turned heads as the fierce Paikea Apirana (Pai). The role — Keisha's first-ever — earned her a Best Actress nod at the Academy Awards that year, making her the youngest person ever to be nominated in that category at the time. (That record was later broken by Beast of the Southern Wild's Quvenzhané Wallis, who was only 9 when she was nominated).

At the time, Keisha's face was everywhere. Who doesn't remember this striking image of Keisha's character about to fling her arms open triumphantly?

Since then, Keisha has continued to land film roles, but mostly faded out of the American public eye. But that's all about to change now that she's been cast to play Obara Sand, the oldest of Oberyn Martell's (Pedro Pascal) bastard daughters, on Game of Thrones Season 5.

We have a feeling the world is going to fall in love with Keisha all over again. Not only is Obara an awesome role on a hit TV show, but it turns out this child star as grown up to be quite beautiful.
