Modern Family, 9-9:30 PM on ABC:
The family helps Claire (Julie Bowen) prepare for her upcoming televised debate with Duane Bailey for the town council seat, and Lily (Aubrey Adnerson-Emmons) learns a bad word — just in time for her first stint as a flower girl. Meanwhile, Jay (Ed O’Neill) blames Gloria (Sofia Vergara) for Stella’s recent strange behavior in “Little Bo Peep.”

Happy Endings, 9:30-10 PM on ABC: Jane (Eliza Coupe) convinces Penny (Casey Wilson) to stop changing herself for every guy she dates, and instead to change the guy to suit her needs. Penny’s first experiment is Jeff (guest star Ryan Hansen), a slacker who is 30 going on 20. Meanwhile, after Brad (Damon Wayans Jr.) overhears Jane bragging to Penny about how she completely made him over after they met, he starts walking, talking, and dressing like his college-era self. Alex (Elisha Cuthbert) and Max (Adam Pally) stage an “in-T-vention” to help Dave (Zachary Knighton) cure his obsession with v-neck t-shirts — all in “Makin’ Changes.”

Revenge, 10-11 PM on ABC: In “Commitment,” Daniel (Joshua Bowen) plans a romantic proposal to Emily (Emily VanCamp), and Charlotte (Christa B. Allen) is devastated when she’s forced to move back home with her mother. Meanwhile, Jack (Nick Wechsler) is betrayed by someone he adores, and Nolan (Gabriel Mann) forces Emily to think twice about her actions. [WATCH THE PREVIEW]

Top Chef: Texas, 10-11:00 PM on Bravo: The competition continues to heat up in the Lone Star State! For the quickfire, the remaining cheftestants create a dish using various ingredients delivered to them by train, and for the main challenge they whip up a Gothic dish fit for a queen — an evil queen.

The Bachelor, 8-10 PM on ABC: In the third episode of Season 16, the remaining 16 women head to San Franciso with Bachelor Ben. He takes 11 ladies on a surprise ski date, and another on a one-on-one date to City Hall where singer Matt Nathanson serenades them. There’s also drama aplenty, as one woman crashes the cocktail party in an attempt to join the competition for Ben’s heart. By the end of the evening, only 13 women have roses. [WATCH THE PREVIEW]

PREMIERE! Alcatraz, 8-10 PM on FOX: In the series premiere of this new J.J. Abrams show, a task force comes together to investigate a sniper targeting young victims... as well as the strange reappearance of prisoners who vanished from Alcatraz decades ago.

Betty White’s 90th Birthday: A Tribute to America’s Golden Girl, 8-9:30 PM on NBC: Stars salute Betty White as she fetes her 90th birthday.

SNEAK PEEK! Betty White’s Off Their Rockers, 9:30-10 PM on NBC: Betty White and a group of fellow senior citizens pull pranks on unsuspecting folks in this hidden-camera comedy series.

Pretty Little Liars, 8-9 PM on ABC Family: With Lucas (Brendan Robinson) missing and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) determined to find his friend, will Hanna (Ashley Benson) be able to tell Caleb what happened on the boat without tipping him off to her larger “A” problem? In the meantime, Spencer (Troian Bellisario) follows a new “A” lead in “Let the Water Hold Me Down.” [WATCH THE PREVIEW]

The Lying Game, 9-10 PM on ABC Family: Emma (Alexandra Chando) accidentally risks exposing her true identity as she, Ethan (Blair Redford), and Thayer (Christian Alexander) search for Sutton (also Alexandra) in “Pleased to Meet Me.” [WATCH THE PREVIEW]

Gossip Girl, 9-10 PM on The CW: Blair (Leighton Meester) flashes back to the car accident, and Nate (Chace Crawford) realizes the crash may have been the result of foul play.
