What’s Dianna Agron Doing While Glee Cast Films Cory Monteith Tribute?
It hasn’t been the easiest of weeks for the cast of Glee, as filming for the Cory Monteith memorial episode began last Friday, August 23.
Naya Rivera recently revealed that shooting the tribute has been “the hardest thing” she’s ever had to do, and we can only imagine that the rest of her castmates feel the same way.
Despite having limited roles in Season 5, several of the original glee club members are set to appear in the tribute. Earlier today, E! reported that Mark Salling, Amber Riley, Harry Shum Jr, and Jayma Mays will all return for the episode titled “The Quarterback.”
Sadly, Dianna Agron is one of the original castmates who won’t be returning for the memorial. Seeing as how Finn and Quinn dated on the show — and Cory and Dianna were close in real life — we have to admit that we’re surprised by her absence.
On Monday, August 26, Dianna was spotted out in NYC as the Glee cast got back to work in LA. The blonde beauty was photographed strolling through the East Village with a friend, looking lovely in a pink Louis Vuitton frock and Tory Birch flats.
In less than a month, Dianna will begin making the promotional rounds for her new crime-comedy, The Family. The film — also starring Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Tommy Lee Jones — follows the story of a notorious mafia clan who relocate to France under the witness protection program.
We’re glad to see Di’s movie career beginning to take off, but we still wish she could have been in Glee’s Cory tribute. That episode just won’t feel the same without her.
