Bachelorette 2014: When Does Filming Start for Season 18? UPDATE

UPDATE 2/27: It's always up in the air until the lights and camera are officially called to action, but Reality Steve said in a recent blog post that Season 10 will likely begin filming sooner than we originally thought. While Des's season kicked off filming about a week after she was announced as Bachelorette on the Season 17 Bachelor ATFR, Steve says this one will start March 11 or March 12. He's 100% positive that Andi Dorfman will be the next Bachelorette.

If that's true, he says that the contestants, who will be cooped up in Los Angeles starting on about March 9, will meet their girl just a couple days after she glows her way through the finale after show. Indeed, she set herself up well when she walked out on El Bachelor in St. Lucia on the February 26 installment of Season 18. What do you think about her for the next Bachelorette?

ORIGINAL STORY 1/24: Yeah, yeah, there’s like a month and a half of The Bachelor 2014 left, but let’s talk about The Bachelorette for a second. We speculated earlier on the likely premiere date, which would be May 26, 2014, if the schedules for The Bachelor finale and traditional Monday night show Dancing With the Stars stay the same. So, if that’s true, when does filming start on The Bachelorette?

Bachelorette 2013 started filming on around March 17, 2013, six days after the Bachelor 2013 finale. It was super convenient for Desiree Hartsock, who was already in Los Angeles thanks to a sweet combo of appearing on “After the Final Rose” and living there. She appeared on the March 11 special, looking glowy, gorgeous, and totally over what’s-his-name. But what about next year’s lead? When will she descend on L.A. to kick off her spring heartbreak tour?

We’re guessing that unless some drastic scheduling change occurs, the guys will arrive right after the final rose is discussed ad nauseum. In fact, the dude picking part of the program may already be full-on in progress, or even dunzo. And let’s face it: They should be thrilled with any of the available gals of Bachelor Nation. Speaking of which...

Who will be the future Bachelorette? Great question, but we’re sure that whomever it is will be happy to start her own love aventura as soon as possible. There’s a great chance that the next lady with the roses will be someone from Juan Pablo Galavis’ season of beautiful babes. Luckily, with a four-month gap in filming seasons, the scorned hottie will have had a chance to get over her broken corazon. (As if anyone could ever get over JPG breaking up with her…)
