American Horror Story: Coven bids farewell with one last haunting episode tonight, January 29 — Episode 13, "The Seven Wonders," airing at 10 p.m. ET on FX — and then we'll face months of peace and quiet before the next chapter of the hit anthology begins.
So when will American Horror Story return to terrify us with Season 4? We don't have an exact date, but the good news is that the fourth saga will likely premiere in 2014.
If it's like the three prior seasons, it'll start in early- to mid-October — just in time to get some good scares in before Halloween.
Season 1 (Murder House) ran straight through until Christmas, whereas Seasons 2 and 3 (Asylum and Coven) took winter hiatuses and set their end dates for late January.
So what do we know about the brand new story of Season 4? Not much, but co-creator Ryan Murphy has given us a few teases. First of all, easter eggs about the upcoming season are hidden in the last few episodes of Coven, and we may even find out the theme at the very end.
"I always thought it would be cool to have the season end, and the last image will [signal] what the next season is about, and you'll get the title," he revealed to E! Online.
He has also let slip that the next season will be set in 1950, that it will be filmed in either New Orleans (just like Coven) or Santa Fe, and that Jessica Lange is working on her German accent.
Keep an eye out for more, viewers!
