When Is the True Blood Season 7 Premiere?

If you’re anything like us, then it feels like ages since you’ve seen any new episodes of True Blood on TV. In reality, it’s been less than a year since the Season 6 finale, but the HBO show’s sixth season was such a convoluted mess that we’d rather forget it all together.

The seventh and final season of the show is right around the corner, and based on the trailers and teasers we’ve seen so far, we’re cautiously optimistic about the series’ last run. From what we can glean especially from the recently released trailer below — the supernatural drama seems to be headed back to its roots with some fun, smaller story arcs thrown in. Namely, Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) and Alcide Herveaux (Joe Manganiello) are still competing for Sookie Stackhouse’s (Anna Paquin) affection/faerie blood. Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) is sadly MIA, but we know that he’ll be back and will likely vie for Sookie as well when he returns.

But when does Season 7 start, you ask?

As a matter of fact, True Blood’s seventh and final season kicks off in a matter of weeks, with a premiere scheduled for June 22 at 9 p.m. ET. Details about the upcoming season are sparse, but we know that Eric will be back in some form, Lafayette Reynolds (Nelsan Ellis) starts up a new, promising relationship, and the Hep V mutation will have continued disastrous consequences for the people of Bon Temps. Yikes!

Does Season 7 pique your interest, or have you checked out of True Blood already? Tell us your opinion below!
