Though NBC has given us the blessing of two season of The Voice per year, hiatuses can still be painfully long. We said goodbye to Season 3 on Dec. 18, 2012, and Season 4 won’t premiere until March 25, 2013!
Season 4 will feature new coaches Shakira and Usher, who are temporarily replacing Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green. NBC had to allow some extra time for this spring season’s premiere date because Shak recently gave birth to son, Milan.
But by the time the pre-taped blind auditions, battle rounds, and knockout rounds air, Shakira should be back in coaching shape and ready to share her new motherly wisdom with her team.
And Season 4 isn’t the only one airing in 2013. The Voice has been renewed for both Season 5 and 6. Season 5 will air in Fall 2013 and Season 6 will premiere in Spring 2014.
Last fall, Season 3 premiered on Sept. 10, 2013, so we can expect Season 5 to debut around a similar time.
But all of our energy is now focused on the upcoming Season 4, which is just around the corner!
