Game of Thrones has featured a notoriously high number of character deaths in its first three seasons. Some of the deceased were fan favorites, and some of the deaths we really didn’t see coming. So out of everyone who’s kicked the bucket thus far, who do you miss the most? Here are some we sure would like to see again.
Ned Stark. GoT’s most shocking death of the first season still resonates with us. We miss Ned’s strict code of honor and moral compass because without them, Westeros has really gone to hell.
Khal Drogo. Drogo was pretty awesome. We love how he would do anything for the moon of his life, Dany, like kill her brother with molten gold. Seriously though, Drogo protected Dany back when she actually needed protection. She can certainly take care of herself now, but we still miss the Khal.
Robert Baratheon. King Robert was a pretty terrible leader, but he looked like Winston Churchill compared to his “son” Joffrey. Remember when all we had to worry about was the king getting drunk and visiting whores? Ah, those were the days.
Renly Baratheon. Renly was the king that should have been. He was popular with the people, a nice guy, and he was actually a real Baratheon. Then his idiot brother whom nobody likes had to knock him off with a demon shadow baby. R.I.P. Renly, you would’ve been a great king, or at least a popular one.
Syrio Forel. Arya’s "dance" teacher was one cool cat. He may have sounded a little like Balki from Perfect Strangers, but he was still a total badass. During his final stand when he rescues Arya, we could only think one thing about his impending death: Not today.
Robb Stark. While we’ve only seen one episode so far without Robb, his absence felt heavy. Without the King in the North, there’s no more war with the North. So now what’s the North supposed to do? Rally around Roose Bolton and buddy up to the Lannisters? Ugh, Robb come back!
Cat Stark Like Robb, we haven’t had much of a chance to miss Cat yet, but seriously, how much more can the surviving Stark kids be put through? With Cat gone, they’re now orphans with no guidance. Who’s Bran supposed to look up to, Hodor? Arya’s hanging out with the Hound, Sansa’s married to Tyrion, and who knows what’s going on with what’s-his-name. Seriously Cat, you need to come back and whip your family into shape.
