Which Glee Guy Went as Captain America for Halloween? Spandex Alert!

Most of our favorite Glee stars were busy filming the show and thus unable to get dressed up on Halloween yesterday. Luckily, one particular Glee guy who wasn’t filming was more than able to pick up the slack for everyone else.

We got to see what the Glee cast would look like as superheroes last season for “Dynamic Duets,” and it appears that one one the show’s stars just didn’t get enough of it. Or else he really likes the way he looks in spandex. As he should.

Indeed, Mark Salling (Puck) decided to channel his inner patriotic dogooder for Halloween this year by dressing as the superhero Captain America. He posted an amazing photo to Twitter of himself in costume on October 31, with the caption, “Happy Hollerween from Captain Sawmerica.” In case you didn’t know, “Saw” is Mark’s nickname.

If you ask us, Mark is a dead ringer for the hero that has been popularized in the Marvel comics and in recent films starring Chris Evans. Not only does Mark have the skin-tight (no complaints here) costume and shield, but he also is doing a hilarious pose. Oh, and maybe we can borrow those boots sometime, Mark? Thanks a bunch!

Mark certainly has experience transforming into a sexy superhero. In Season 4, Puck dressed as The Pucker Man — complete with a huge red mohawk and fake abs — and was charging tourists in Hollywood to take pics with him. And if Mark were actually charging to get a picture taken with him, we’d be the first in line.

Mark gave a powerful performance in the Cory Monteith tribute episode but isn’t likely to appear on Glee’s Season 5 again in the near future. But even though he’s keeping busy professionally — he’s recently been filming a starring role in a TV movie — it’s great to see him still find time to goof around a bit. And if he wants to start wearing tights on a regular basis, we won’t complain.
