Which Hollywood Leading Lady Once Tried to Audition for Survivor?
Now that we’re 28 cycles into CBS’s Survivor, we’ve seen our fair share of famous faces show up in the hit reality competition. Sure, we’re not necessarily talking A-list actors, but we did have Facts of Life alum and ‘80s icon Lisa Whelchel plus a number of professional athletes and famous figures.
But did you know that almost 15 years ago, one of today’s biggest Hollywood leading ladies actually tried to audition for the show?
That's the question we asked Viggle LIVE! users during the April 9 episode of Survivor: Cagayan, and most people guessed wong! A majority 54 percent incorrectly guessed that goofy gorgeous gal Cameron Diaz was the one to try her hand at reality TV. Meanwhile, 31 percent of users were spot on when they said that it was Oscar-nominee Kate Hudson who pulled the stunt. Finally, only 15 percent opted for fellow leading blonde Reese Witherspoon.

In 2001, Kate Hudson and her then-husband Chris Robinson showed up for a Survivor: Australia casting event, but were shut down by producers who worried celeb participants would complicate the process too much. Just imagine how history would have been shifted. Would we have ever been blessed with How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days?
Tune into Survivor: Cagayan on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
