Which Was Your Favorite American Idol 2013 Top 2 Performance? 5/15/2013

We’re in the home stretch for American Idol 2013! Viewers will crown their Season 12 winner tomorrow night, but it’ll be a tough decision. Both Candice Glover and Kree Harrison sang impressively tonight, but which was your favorite Top 2 performance?

Kree started off with Sarah McLachlan’s “Angel,” which suited the timbre of her voice beautifully. Candice countered with her take on Adele’s “Chasing Pavements.” American Idol judge Mariah Carey loved both performances, but Randy Jackson found the choices to be a bit sleepy (which we can’t help but agree with).

During the second round, both contestants performed a song written specifically for them to be released as their first single upon winning tomorrow. We loved the country-tinged vibe of Kree’s song, “All Cried Out.” Candice sang circles around her track, called “I Am Beautiful,” but the sounds was much more pop than we’re used to hearing from her. Overall, the judges were wowed by both songs.

For their last song, Kree and Candice reprised tracks they felt defined their time on Idol. Kree chose “Up to the Mountain,” while Candice picked “I Who Have Nothing.” It’s difficult to criticize either performance, really. The judges also seemed at a loss for criticisms, and spent the rest of their air time waxing poetically about how talented Kree and Candice were.

And let’s not forget Carly Rae Jepsen’s interlude, where she performed a brand new song called “Take a Picture.”

Vote for your favorite performance of the night in our poll below!

I have my favorite performance.

It's so hard to choose!
