If there’s one thing we’ve learned from The Blacklist so far, it’s this: you do not want to be on Raymond “Red” Reddington’s (James Spader) bad side. In the first half of the season, we’ve seen he’s capable of making some seriously scary stuff happen — suffocating Elizabeth Keen’s (Megan Boone) father, anyone? And let’s not forget: he’s pulling off these shady acts while working with the FBI.
So we’re not exactly shocked he has an enemy, but we do know that once Red finds out who it is that betrayed him, they’d better run… if they can.
We won’t find out for sure who it is until the January 13 premiere — and maybe not even then! — but we’re taking guesses in the meantime. We’ve got a feeling it could be anyone on this list:
Someone in the FBI. There’s obviously a mole somewhere in the agency, but who? Anyone would have access to the information that Red shares with Lizzie, and he sure gives the FBI enough reasons not to like him — even though he is, after all, helping them crack cases that would otherwise be near impossible to crack. A mole could be taking the information he gives the agents and using it to take him down from the inside.
Another criminal. Could it be that someone Red used to work with found out that he’s been working alongside the FBI to bust people who thought they could trust him? We’re not too familiar with the dynamics of the relationships between criminal masterminds, but we have a feeling loyalty is something they value. Highly.
Tom (Ryan Eggold). We know this one is a stretch, since Tom had that conversation with Red without having any idea who he was, but we can’t deny that something sketchy is up with Lizzie’s husband. We can’t say what, exactly, but we wouldn’t be surprised to find out that Tom was involved in Luli murder.
