Who Does Jacqueline Laurita Think Is Underpaid?

Jacqueline Laurita is standing up for a group of workers who she feels deserve a whole lot more than what they are getting. The Real Housewives of New Jersey mama went on Twitter to talk about how she feels and share some love for the people responsible for our children's education.

"Teachers should get paid a LOT more than they do. A LOT more! I respect & appreciate what they do for our children," Jacqueline wrote.

It's no surprise that Jacqueline feels this way about the educators of America, considering her own interest in education. Ever since her son, Nicholas, was diagnosed with Autism soon after filming Season 4 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Jac has taken a real interest in Nick's teachers and everything they do for him. She's also hired a specialist to work with Nick, who uses music and song to help him make progress. Jacqueline's posted a few videos of Nick and his tutor in action and you can see how much she loves her job.

A lot of people think that teachers have it easy because they have the summers off, but they don't realize just how much work they put in during the school year. Most educators are out the door by 6 in the morning — earlier if they have a long commute — and even though they may get home before the standard 5 PM end time, that doesn't mean they are done working for the day. There's lesson-planning, paper-grading, and countless other tasks that could have them working all night!

We agree with Jacqueline that this is an underrated profession. What are your thoughts? Sound off below!
