Who Is “A”? Our Top 3 Suspects From Pretty Little Liars Season 3, Episode 10
So, you’re still dying to know who the new “A” is onPretty Little Liars. Don’t worry — we’ve got our crack team of sleuths on the case, picking up even the tiniest clue for your mystery-solving pleasure. Here are some hints from Season 3, Episode 10: “What Lies Beneath,” that may help us solve this thing for good!
3. Wren Kingston Why he might be “A”: The clues keep mounting! The fact that he works at Radley is strange, and Mona’s (Janel Parrish) recent line, “I missed my dolls,” can possibly be interpreted as “I’m M.D.” Plus, at the end of this week’s episode, we see the word “Hopkins” written on a box as “A” picks up the remote, and we’re thinking that a doctor could have contact with John Hopkins, one of the country’s best hospitals and med schools. Or else maybe “A” is just an Anthony Hopkins fan? (“A” is like, “Whenever I feel like a good cry, the movie Howard’s End usually does the trick.”)
Why he might not be: He was so adorable this week! We like Haleb as much as (and possibly more than) the next person, but Wren (Julian Morris) was so sweet when he stitched up Hanna’s (Ashley Benson) gnarly wound, so it’s tough to imagine him as “A.” Then again, it’s definitely odd that he’s now hitting on his second Liar. The guy’s a hot doctor — does he really need to resort to high schoolers?
2. Paige McCullers Why she might be “A”:Paige’s (Lindsey Shaw) anger this week scared the bejeesus out of us. Plus, at the end of the episode, “A” turns on Wheel of Fortune. Well, in Season 2, Emily (Shay Mitchell) had a line where she says she loves Wheel of Fortune. Crazy! So maybe Paige is “A,” and she watches that show to feel more connected to Em or something? By the way, if we were to buy a vowel on Wheel of Fortune, it would certainly not be “A.”
Why she might not be: True, Paige has always had a dark side to her personality. (Attempted drowning, anyone?) But we’re not sure what would motivate her to become “A” — although we’ll be learning more about her history with Alison (Sasha Pieterse) next week. And we’re wondering if Paige might not be “A” but is actually Maya’s killer. Either way, if Paige had knocked over our trash cans, we’d be pretty upset.
1. Alison DiLaurentis Why she might be “A”: Ali has quite a history with Noel (Brant Daugherty), so it would make sense that Ali would be familiar with the Kahn cabin and be able to easily trap Emily and Hanna in there. And maybe that box of stuff in the final “A” scene was hers, as she’s possibly been on the move since people think she’s dead.
Why she might not be: Whether Ali even has a twin has still yet to be firmed up, and the fact that it’s been so long since we’ve seen Ali in a flashback has us wondering if the twin theory is ever going to be a solid fact. And while we’re on the subject, we can’t help but mention that Ali’s twin’s name in the book series was Courtney DiLaurentis, who has the same initials as CeCe Drake. Suspicious, right?
