Lauri Waring Peterson makes her comeback to RHOC, and from the preview we’ve seen, she’s aiming to rile up some of the Housewives.
But who is Lauri Waring Peterson?
Those who’ve watched Real Housewives of Orange County from the beginning will remember Lauri as one of the primary cast members from Season 1 to Season 4. She started off on the show as a divorced mother of three working at Vicki Gunvalson’s insurance company. Even in her own home, Lauri had plenty of drama to contend with. Her oldest daughter, Ashley, moved back home to save money, while son Josh spent some time in juvenile detention and struggled with drug use.
By Season 2 of the show, Lauri went from toiling to make ends meet to getting engaged to wealthy land developer George Peterson. The following season of Real Housewives of Orange County could be considered Lauri’s swan song. Her main storyline for Season 3 revolved around planning her lavish wedding and butting heads with Josh after he finishes up a stint in rehab but refuses to follow Lauri’s house rules, resulting in him getting kicked out of the family home. In the Season 3 finale, Lauri and Josh patched things up during a dramatic psychotherapy session, and Josh even participated in his mother’s wedding to George.
In Season 4, Lauri’s role on the show was downsized considerably, and she only appeared in a handful of episodes. She admitted obligations to George and her family took up most of her time, and she bowed out of RHOC at the end of 2008.
Rumors of Lauri’s return began when she was seen joining the other Housewives for Tamra Barney’s wedding dress fitting, and photos of here were taken while on vacation with the other ladies in Canada.
While she’s not a full-time Housewife this time around, we’re curious to see what kind of trouble Lauri will stir up in Real Housewives of Orange County Season 8!
