Meet Robert Kazinsky, True Blood Season 6’s latest drool-worthy edition joins us from across the pond! Born November 18th, 1983 in Sussex, England, this coastally-dwelling English beach-boy’s birth name was Robert Appleby. Being raised in England doesn’t just mean he’s just perfected his cockney accent, Kazinsky is of Russian and Polish descent, and can speak Fluent Hebrew.
Although gifted with natural charisma and a killer smile punctuated with darling dimples, Kazinsky wasn’t content to coast on his good looks. He attended the Guildford School of Acting graduating in 2005. He broke through in the UK by playing the audience-favorite role of mysterious Caspar Rose on the shortly-lived Sky One drama, Dream Team.
If you still can’t place where you recognize Kazinsky from — let me point you towards a little ol’ British Soap called EastEnders. Maybe you’ve heard of it? Kazinsky starred for a total 254 episodes as bad boy, Sean Slater, earning enough critical attentions and professional accolades to leap across the pond to the states.
After stints on shows like Brothers and Sisters and Law and Order, Robert was spotted by Peter Jackson and slated to appear in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey until he was forced to step down due to personal reasons. Kazinsky’s already proved his chops and will be a stellar addition to the already stunning and talented ensemble of True Blood Season 6 as Sookie's new love interest, faerie Ben Flynn.
