Who Is Sarah Simmons From The Voice Season 4?

When Memphis, Tenn. native Sarah Simmons took to The Voice Season 4 stage on March 26, she blew the coaches away with her rendition of Joan Osborne’s “One of Us.”

But Sarah’s musical journey started long before the cameras were rolling. Sarah has dealt with adversity her entire life, which she credits for strengthening her sound and conviction.

Sarah’s father was in and out of her life as he battled addiction to drugs and alcohol. Now Sarah’s 21 and her father is clean and sober.

Sarah’s also a singer-songwriter who’s been writing her own music since age 15.

She studies full-time at Visible Music College in Memphis, but the school’s president allowed her to take time off from her academics to audition for the show.

And it seems the decision paid off. Sarah is now a happy member of Team Adam Levine, after the coach won the contestant in a four-turn battle.

“One-hundred and fifty percent, you can win this show. I know you can,” Adam told her.
