Who Should Go Home on American Idol 2013 From the Top 10 on March 13, 2013?
After weeks and weeks of auditions, we’re finally down to the American Idol 2013 Top 10! But with the competition getting more fierce, it’s getting tough to decide who will get the boot this week. Tonight, we saw some strong performances from the usual suspects, while some of our Season 12 favorites found themselves on thin ice with the judges. The theme they had to work with was “Music of the American Idols,” with the choice of singing a song by past Idol champ or a song that a past winner performed on the show. Curtis Finch Jr. kicked off the show with his rousing version of Fantasia’s “I Believe.” While the judges loved his voice, they criticized him for staying too safe with his song choice. Someone who got a similar comment was Devin Velez, who sang Carrie Underwood’s “Temporary Home.” Angie Miller impressed the judges with her take on Celine Dion’s “I Surrender,” which the judges adored, noting that they’d love to see her behind the piano again. After some mixed feedback over the past couple of weeks, Paul Jolley was praised for his vocal control during his rendition of Lonestar’s “Amazed.” Out of all the contestants, it was Candice Glover who blew everyone’s socks off with her version of “I Who Have Nothing,” originally made famous by Ben King. She received a standing ovation from all of the judges except for Mariah Carey, who admitted that her skirt was too tight for her to stand up.
But who do you think should go home tonight? Vote in our poll below and let us know!
