The Voice: Who Was Eliminated Tonight — April 29, 2014?

Emotions ran the gamut this week on The Voice, with tears (Kat Perkins and Bria Kelly), anger, and laughter (that’d be Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, respectively, after Blake tweeted Adam’s personal phone number during the show). And that brings us to sadness, aka the emotion we feel when we have to say goodbye to two talented artists.

Before revealing the bottom three and opening up the Twitter Save to rescue one artist from elimination, Carson Daly announced the artists safe from the axe. First off the hot seat? Christina Grimmie from Team Adam, whose innovative cover of Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home” amazed her coach and, evidently, viewers at home. She was joined by Team Blake’s Sisaundra Lewis, whose nostalgic cover of Steve Perry’s “Oh Sherrie” demonstrated how much she rocks.

After rapping with the judges, Carson ripped off the band-aid for two more contestants: Team Shakira’s Kristen Merlin — who got to sing her entire song without technical difficulties last night — and Team Usher's Josh Kaufman for his nostalgic cover of Kenny Loggins' "This Is It".

The final three safe artists were Audra McLaughlin of Team Blake, Delvin Choice from Team Adam, and Jake Worthington from Team Blake. The remaining artists — Bria Kelly, Kat Perkins, and Tess Boyer — each sang their hearts out to earn America's Twitter Save, but sadly only one could benefit. And that was Kat Perkins of Team Adam, whose hard-rocking cover of Grace Potter & The Nocturnals's "Paris (Ooh La La)" won over the most fans.

That meant the end of the road for Bria of Team Usher and Tess Boyer of Team Shakira, leaving each coach with only one remaining artist, while Blake and Adam's teams remain intact (for now).
