Who Will Be Eliminated on The Voice Tonight, April 17?

Last night’s instant eliminations shocked The Voice audience. Can we expect another surprise tonight?

After Christina Aguilera eliminated fan-favorite Jesse Campbell, and Blake Shelton let rocker Jordis Unga go, all bets are off.

The remaining Team Blake contestants are Erin Willett, Jermaine Paul, and RaeLynn. Erin and Jermaine seem to be fan favorites, while RaeLynn is Blake’s little country protegee. Despite RaeLynn’s critics, her songs continue to chart on iTunes and as the only country singer still in the competition, she has the support of most of Blake Shelton’s fans.

RaeLynn’s performance last night was the weakest vocally, but Erin’s performances thus far haven’t been particularly memorable, so it’s likely she’ll be heading home. Erin's voice is stronger, but we haven’t seen her rock out like RaeLynn does.

Jermaine’s performance last night was the most impressive and touching, and he will probably be the one America votes to save tonight. If by some chance he’s not, Blake will save him.

Team Christina’s elimination will be completely based on tonight’s performances. Each of Christina’s remaining contestants appeals to a different fanbase. The weakest performance from this team last night was Lindsey Pavao’s rendition of “Part of Me” by Katy Perry.

She was flat on several notes and her shy personality holds her back on stage. But Christina recognizes that Lindsey’s distinctive style could make her a stand-out artist in this competition, and so do we.

Chris Mann’s classic style is impressive in a competition of R&B and rock singers, but we’re not sure his fanbase is strong enough to keep him safe.

We’ve been big fans of Ashley De La Rosa from the beginning, and each week she impresses us more. If she can bring a killer performance tonight, she’ll be safe because Christina sees her young Mouseketeer self in Ashley’s passionate performances.

We'd like to see Lindsey or Chris voted off, but as we said before, tonight is anyone’s game.
