Why Didn’t Andy Cohen Go to Kandi Burruss’ Wedding? (VIDEO)

Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker tied the knot a few months back and viewers will finally get to see their picturesque wedding on the finale of Real Housewives of Atlanta: Kandi’s Wedding, airing July 6, but we already know one important guest who didn’t get to witness Kandi and Todd getting hitched: Andy Cohen!

You’d think the Bravo boss would have been front and center at the nuptials since he’s kind of responsible for bringing the pair together (they met on the RHoA set in South Africa) but alas, Andy was a no-show on Kandi’s big day.

During last Sunday’s Watch What Happens Live starring Kandi as a guest, a viewer called Andy out for his absence at her wedding, but it turns out Mr. Cohen had a pretty valid reason for skipping the fun. “I was actually on vacation that I had already planned when Kandi’s wedding happened,” he explained, adding Kandi didn’t give him much notice before extending an invite. “Kandi was on Kandi time when she invited me to the wedding. She invited me on the walk out of the reunion show as we were leaving. She invited me to the wedding, which was a week later and I already had this trip planned. If I hadn’t, I would’ve gone.”

Over in the WWHL guest spot, Kandi seemed to be playfully tolerating Andy’s reasoning, but she doesn’t think the Bravo boss would have attended her wedding even if the vacation wasn’t an issue. What was Kandi’s rationale, you ask? She astutely pointed out that Andy has actually never attended a Housewives wedding!

Rest assured, Andy also had valid reasons for missing Bethenny Frankel and Kim Zolciak’s respective weddings. “Frankly, I wanted to go to Kim’s,” he said, but he revealed Bravo felt it would be “weird” to see him on camera, so he decided against it. “Bethenny's I would have loved to have gone to, and she invited me, but I was also out of town that weekend.”

Kandi wasn’t about to let Andy off that easily, so she concluded the wedding discussion with a playful quip: “Mine was the best,” she argued. We haven’t seen Kandi’s wedding yet, but given all of the planning that went into it, we know it’s going to be an affair to remember!
