Will Arizona Be Callie’s Happy Ending on Grey’s Anatomy? Sara Ramirez Says…

Last week’s episode of Grey’s AnatomySeason 9, Episode 9: “Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word” — left us more hopeful than ever that there could be a future for Callie (Sara Ramirez) and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw).

But we know what Callie doesn’t: Arizona and Leah (Tessa Ferrer) have been hooking up. And while Arizona wasted no time throwing Leah out of her hotel room (ouch!) once she got word that Callie wants to make things work, Sara’s already told us that Callie will find out, and when she does, it could be potentially explosive.

So will that get in the way of a Calzona reunion, or is there still hope?

“Shonda has always said at the real end of the show — like when it’s over, over — characters will get their happy endings,” Sara told TVLine of creator Shonda Rhimes’s plan. “I don’t know what she’s going to do then.”

And when asked whether or not she thought that meant Callie and Arizona being each other’s happy endings, Sara stayed mum.

“It’s not about what I think,” she said. “It’s about what the writers think.”

And about what the fans think, and as far as we’re concerned, we’re crossing all our fingers and all our toes that our favorite Grey’s couple (besides MerDer, but they don’t count) finds their way back to each other… way sooner than the actual end of the show, which will obviously be ten or fifteen years from now. Right, guys?
