Will Arnett Files For Divorce From Amy Poehler (VIDEO)
Oh, come on! Two years after the couple announced their separation, Arrested Development star Will Arnett has officially filed for divorce from Parks and Recreation star Amy Poehler. The pair got hitched in 2003, spent nine years together before separating in September 2012.
TMZ obtained court documents that show Will filed the divorce papers, asking for joint legal and physical custody of their two sons, Abel, 3, and Archibald, 5.
The pair have both moved on with other people — Amy with fellow comedian Nick Kroll (The League, Kroll Show), who sometimes plays The Douche on Parks and Rec, and Will with producer Erin David. But the union legally coming to an end reminds us of how much fun they were as a TV duo! On Arrested Development Amy plays a seal-saleswoman who Will's character Gob marries on a dare, although they never consummate their union (despite Gob's claims to the contrary).
Will, in turn, played an MRI tech set up with Amy's character Leslie Knope on Parks and Recreation.
While neither of the pair's fictional relationships went well, they had some pretty outstanding chemistry while it lasted! We wish the best for both of them as they move on with their lives, even if all that magic was really an illusion.
