Will Smith and his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith must be accustomed to the media over-speculating on both their personal lives and parenting skills by now. Well, it looks like they should get even more comfortable with it since they’re reportedly being investigated by the Los Angeles Department of Children & Family Services.
Why, you ask? Remember that innocent photo of their daughter, Willow,13, posing in bed with a shirtless Moises Arias, 20, which sent the internet into a tizzy? Now Child Protective Services are getting involved, and have officially opened an investigation into the supposed incident.
According to reports by RadarOnline.com, “The investigation was formally opened last week and is being taken very seriously by the department,” a source tells Radar. “Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have been extremely cooperative with officials. Of course, they aren’t happy that their parenting skills are under scrutiny, but they understand.”
The source also adds, “Social workers will also be talking separately with Willow, and they also want to talk to the young man in the picture with her as well. This won’t just be one or two visits with the family, and it will likely be an open investigation for at least a month, out of an abundance of caution.”
Days after the controversial photo appeared online, Jada took to the media to defend her daughter. “Here’s the deal: There was nothing sexual about that picture or that situation,” she said. “You guys are projecting your trash on to it, and you’re acting like covert pedophiles, and that’s not cool.”
So what does Big Will have to say about it? He apparently feels that the photo is actually “art." Hmm, we’re not sure how we feel about Willow and the former Hannah Montana star’s photo. If it was “art,” would it be raising this many eyebrows, and even attracting the attention of Child Protective Services? So. many. questions.
