Will There Be a True Blood Season 6?

Can you imagine a summer without True Blood? This raunchy vampire drama has been on HBO for four seasons, and will enter its fifth season to an even wider audience than it had back in Season 1.

But will the show continue into a sixth year, or will it come to a close in 2012?

True Blood is more popular than ever, but producer Alan Ball has two new projects (HBO’s Wichita and Cinemax’s Banshee) in the works that are sure to take time away from True Blood.

Back in October 2011, co-executive producers Alexander Woo, Raelle Tucker and Brian Buckner signed two-year overall contracts with HBO, which stipulate that they stay on for a fifth season, but at the time there was no confirmation about a sixth season of True Blood.

So what about Alan? Right now he’s only obligated to stay on for Season 5, but on the plus side, he stated that True Blood can always go on without him. We can’t image the show without its executive producer at the helm, but crazier things have happened!

Do you think True Blood will get a sixth season with or without Alan, or will the fifth season be its final?
