Eldest Kardashian sister Kourtney is so gorgeous, why wouldn't she be mentioned in a song? Unfortunately, her main squeeze Scott Disick isn't really musically inclined — dude doesn't even drive with music on — but that doesn't mean her name hasn't come up in a song or two.
Ciara's fiance, rapper Future, dropped Kourtney's name in his song "Watch This," appearing on the mixtape Dirty Sprite. (Although we're not sure if it's in a positive light.) "F— ya baby-mama like Kourtney Kardashian/Scotty call my phone, I be pickin' up laughin'." Yikes.
Want a more positive depiction of Kourtney in verse? She pops up in Nicki Minaj's "Girls Fall Like Dominoes," along with the rest of the trio: "Okay so when I'm in the Hills I hang with Kristin Cavallari/And when I'm in Miami I'm with Kourtney, Kim, and Khloe."
Another song, this one by Hoodie Allen, references Kourt in his song "Eighteen Cool." "In America, doing what we love and we passionate/Your girl is cashin' in, Kourtney Kardashian." We're not sure if that's a reference to Kourtney's monetary successes or the American Dream…
Since Kourtney is a public figure and all, there are more lyrics that drop her name — probably too many to name here. You should let us know your favorites!
How Did Michelle Williams's Character Die on Dawson's Creek?
Jen Lindley, played by Michelle Williams on Dawson's Creek, couldn't ever really catch a break. She arrives in Capeside after being shipped off by her parents to live with her grandmother — and while they eventually become close, it's a difficult situation at first. Most of her romantic subplots in the show end with her dude being obsessed with Joey. During the big two-part season finale, everyone's in their mid-20s and we really hope things work out for her. But as it turns out, she's raising a kid on her own after the dad disappeared… and she is dying.
How did this happen? Well, we're not sure about the black cloud that hovered over Jen during her tragically short life, but the condition that caused her death was pulmonary congestion due to a heart condition — when the heart can't pump blood efficiently, the blood backs up in the veins and pushes fluid into the lungs. It's not a great way to go.
Add that to the video Dawson recorded for Jen's daughter — with the same Sarah McLachlan song that plays in that feelings-tugging ASPCA ad — and you have us crying all over again. Seriously, send tissues.
The Spice Girls — most of them anyway — may be reuniting, but Victoria Beckham is totally over it.
"I realized it was finished for good in 2008, when we reformed for our reunion tour," Posh Spice told Vogue Paris back in December. "It should have been the best moment of my life, but I just wanted to be elsewhere. It wasn't a lack of respect for the girls or the audience, but the passion just wasn't there."
So could she be embarking on a solo career? Not so fast. As it turns out, singing just isn't Posh's thing anymore.
In May 2013, she told the German mag ICON, "I will never [sing] again in a professional way." Apparently, she and her gorgeous family sing songs together, and that's just fine."
But wait, really? Just in case you thought she'd changed her mind, earlier this year she reasserted her position to Vanity Fair Spain and Italy: "I won't ever do it again."
She continued, "That was the perfect time to say, 'That's great. Thank you to everybody, but no more.' Sometimes you've got to know when it's time to leave the party."
So there you have it — the answer is "no." But hey, with an amazing fashion career and four gorgeous children with David freaking Beckham, we don't blame her for wanting to do her own thing.
