Will You Still Watch The Bachelor After Juan Pablo’s Anti-Gay Comment? (POLL)

The Bachelor almost always finds himself in hot water, but usually it involves a Jacuzzi and a sexy woman. These days, Juan Pablo Galavis is facing the kind of hot water that comes from making controversial remarks about gay people.

After saying that a gay or bisexual Bachelor wasn’t “a good example for kids to watch” (like the current version of The Bachelor is?) and that gays are “more pervert” than straight folks, the former soccer player has attracted a lot of outrage. Many fans of the show took to social media over the weekend vowing to boycott the show. So we gotta ask: Did Juan Pablo’s inartful comments affect your decision to tune in?

Juan Pablo has since issued a statement on Facebook apologizing for his remarks, blaming the fact that English is not his first language. "The word pervert was not what I meant to say and I am very sorry about it," he writes. "Everyone knows English is my second language and my vocabulary is not as broad as it is in Spanish and, because of this, sometimes I use the wrong words to express myself."

A vocal minority on Twitter isn’t buying the apology, but the ratings for the January 20 episode didn’t seem to take a significant hit from the previous week. Episode 3 had 7.8 million viewers compared to the 7.9 million who watched Episode 2.

But what about you? Do you accept Juan Pablo’s apology? Do you think he didn’t have to apologize in the first place? Share your feels in our poll.

Oh, Juan Pablo, I wish I could quit you, but I can't.

I'm done with this show!
