Jennifer Lawrence and Willow Shields don’t just play sisters in The Hunger Games — to each other, they feel like they’re sisters in real life, too. At least, according to what Willow told E! News on the red carpet at Catching Fire’s LA premiere.
“She’s really like a sister to me,” Willow said. “I feel like she’s a good support system for me on set, because she’s really there for me. She helps me through all these scenes and she’s just great.”
“We talk a lot,” Willow added. “There’s a lot of talk about acting and what we plan to do in the future and things like that.”
We can’t imagine a better role model for 13-year-old Willow — and she has an awesome opportunity as an actress to learn from the best.
And Willow’s not the only one who adores her co-star: despite the fact that the two are decades apart in age, Donald Sutherland (President Snow) can’t deny his fondness for Jennifer either.
“She’s a delivery system for the truth,” Donald said recently. Whoa, what a compliment! He goes on to call her brilliant and “unlike other performers.”
And even though he and Jen work together, he’s still in just as much awe of her as the rest of us.
“I’m awkward in her presence,” he admitted. “When I see her, I babble.”
