Once Upon a Time in Wonderland Synopsis: Season 1, Episode 4, “The Serpent”

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland is taking a brief hiatus for Halloween on October 31, but when the OUAT spin-off returns on Thursday, November 7 with Season 1, Episode 4: “The Serpent,” things are going to get crazy.

According to the official synopsis, the Knave’s life is in danger (thanks to Jafar), leaving Alice between a rock and a hard place as she considers using one of her three wishes to save him, not knowing the consequences for Cyrus. (Plus, she would be breaking quite a big promise.)

A new friend in her life reveals even more of the Knave’s backstory, plus we’ll also learn about Jafar’s origins — including his true intentions for Cyrus.

Read on for the full description, then hit the comments with your thoughts on “The Serpent”:

"When the Knave's life is in danger, Alice has to make the tough decision on whether to use one of her three precious wishes and what that would mean for her and Cyrus. Her new friendship with Lizard reveals some of the Knave's backstory and Cyrus plots to escape. Meanwhile, Jafar's plan to kill the Knave puts the Red Queen in a difficult position as she grapples with her feelings for him and her desire to get what she wants. In a flashback, we explore Jafar's origins and find out what he truly wants from Cyrus."

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland airs on Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
