Ian spent time with none other than movie star Woody Harrelson — known for everything from the 80s television sitcom Cheers to gory cult favorite Natural Born Killers to the Hunger Games movie franchise. Ian Instagrammed a picture of himself with Woody yesterday, captioned: “In Atlanta with my brother Woody and Joe talking Step Forward Paper, a non-wood paper-and the paper revolution. Sustainably is topic of this conversation! Dig these men-true game changers.”
Turns out Ian and Woody have something in common: the desire to make the world a more sustainable place. Ian uses his non-profit, the IS Foundation, as a vehicle to inspire change, while Woody uses Prairie Paper Ventures, a company that makes paper from crop waste rather than trees. Two boxes of said paper saves one tree, according to the company’s site. But sustainability isn’t the only things these two stars have in common — they’re obviously both accomplished, popular actors. And Ian did fanboy out a bit about that.
“Woody Harrelson, his mentor Tom Evans and Me in Georgia,” Ian captioned the second pic he took with Woody. “Watching a mentor and a student relive a lifetime of experience together creating art. Amazing... Reminds me of how I can't wait to direct.” Very cool! We would love to see Ian take a stab at directing — and it’s always inspiring to see accomplished men like Ian recognize their role models.
