Britney Spears’ “Work B**ch” Leaked Early Online — Hear It Now!
Who dares cross Britney Spears this time? The Internet, you guys. The Internet — or, more specifically, someone who has zero respect for Ms. Godney — apparently couldn’t contain itself this weekend, and had to release Brit’s new single “Work B**ch” online before its time.
On Sunday, Lady Spears tweeted, “Woke up today and saw that a low quality version of Work B**ch had leaked :(.” The single from her new album wasn’t set to release until later, but because of the infraction (felony, if you ask us), she had to bump up the time for the official version’s release to 3 p.m. ET.
Later in the day on September 15, Brit announced that because of the early release, the official version of the song was going on sale on iTunes early. The song was officially released at 12:01 a.m. ET and the song was posted to VEVO (listen below). So, how did the early release of the counterfeit version affect sales? Not at all, apparently. In fact, the former X Factor judge had a much better surprise when she awoke on September 16, tweeting “Woke up to hear that#WORKBxxCH is number 1 in 35 countries?? What!? I am speechless... thank u all! This is just the beginning!!”
Have you heard the song? What do you think of it? Tell us.
