Worst X Factor Performances From “Thanksgiving” on November 21, 2012
With great power comes great responsibility, which is why we blame Mario Lopez for the B- performances in this week's X Factor. While most of our contestants managed to sing their hearts out like Maria Von Trapp, three performers were slightly less than impressive. And why do we blame Mario? Because these hapless souls were clearly too transfixed by his dimples to sing.
Also, we'd like to remind everyone that tomorrow is Thanksgiving, which means your ultimate fantasy of binge eating pie while looking at Simon Cowell's chest hair is about to come true.
1. Arin Ray Look, we love ourselves some Enrique Iglesias. Especially "Hero," because it brings us back to a comforting-yet-frightening era in which Jennifer Love Hewitt starred in music videos. But Arin's performance was slightly pitchy, not to mention snooze-worthy. Demi's fuzzy eyebrows do not approve. And also, we woke up in a puddle of drool and pizza grease, that's all we're saying. 2. Emblem3 You guys, Emblem3 wants to thank their youth leaders. You know, the youth leaders from the survival camp they went to? To learn survival skills out in the wild, like tying knots and wearing khakis? Which is why they sang "Secrets" by One Republic, and totally nailed it. Their performance was rad, but L.A. made a good point when he said Emblem3 lacked emotion. Then again, what does he know? Dude passed up working with Lady Gaga.
3. Tate Stevens This week, Tate Stevens gave back to his dad. Which is totally weird 'cause we view Tate as our dad / uncle / brother / lover. His emotional rendition of "I'm Already There" by Lonestar had us weeping all over our turkey carcass (yes, we ate the whole thing), but his voice broke a few times and he seemed slightly off his game. Then again listening to Tate utter the words "I'm your imaginary friend" = feelings.
