Miley Cyrus Thought of WHO During Her “Wrecking Ball” Music Video?
Saw what you will about Miley Cyrus’s “Wrecking Ball” music video— and believe us, we’ve said a lot — there was some real emotional rawness in her closeups. Her otherworldly blue eyes sparkled with what looked to be real tears and her anger throwing around that sledgehammer, you can’t fake that. So who did Miley have in mind when making her controversial video?
First guess: Liam Hemsworth, obvi. With lyrics like “Don’t you ever say I just walked away. I will always want you. I can’t live a lie, running for my life. I will always want you.” it’s easy to guess her now ex-fiancé was the muse for the emotional song. Although the two were still rumored to be together when Miley would have made the video, perhaps she saw the writing on the wall and just wanted to knock that wall down.
Guess what, though? Miley told 106.1 KISS FM during a September 19 interview that Liam wasn’t her inspiration for the video. In fact, she wasn’t even thinking of a human.
“A lot of people wanted to know kinda what I was thinking about when I was in the video,” she says after some hemming and hawing. “When I was on the video set I was thinking about my dog that had passed away, which was like the worst thing that had ever happened to me.”
Her dog. Okay, we love our pets too but what about Liam?
What do you think? Is Miley just playing it cool in the wake of her recent breakup or do you totally buy what she’s saying? We’re all ears; sound off in the comments below.
