Recently, Demi admitted she doesn’t keep in touch with Niall much anymore.
“Unfortunately, as sweet as he is, it’s hard to maintain a friendship with somebody that you really can’t hang out with without people automatically assuming that you’re dating,” the 20-year-old entertainer explained.
Since we’re not famous, we imagine this is like having all of your friends constantly yelling “You two should date!” while also potentially taking photographs and pointing. We could see how that might get annoying.
Still, we’re not completely giving up on this dream made in pop culture heaven since Demi’s the first to admit she’s use to having high profile relationships.
“I’d already been through that, so it wasn’t a big deal,” Demi said of people tweeting both good and bad things about the potential rise of Nemi. Guess she got use to it during her five months with Joe Jonas. (Or that on-and-off thing with Wilmer Valderrama.)
Even though she and Joe’s teenage dream fell apart, Demi’s still tight with the Jonas family, saying Joe’s brother Nick has “always been there for me” especially during her stint in rehab.
We say give a new boy band a try, Dems. Nemi’s too good a couple name to simply throw away.
