The time has come, the calendar said, to talk of The X Factor 2013 things! It's true y'all, this Wednesday, September 11, our favorite reality singing competition show is BACK and (hopefully) better than ever!
Oh baby, baby, how are we supposed to know how The X Factor will be minus her Spearsness? It’s gonna be rough, but as long as we have Demi Lovato and Simon Cowell to keep Mario Lopez from taking over The X Factor 2013, everything will be okay.
We are all set to watch pro-host Mario step back into the ring to corral the hordes of child wannabes and over-the-hill country crooners into the spotlight this week, with two episodes welcoming us into the familiar fold — the second night is September 12.
Traditionally, the first few weeks are composed of pre-taped auditions, followed by boot camp, judges’ house practices, and then live shows — which is when the audience gets to start voting for their favorite acts. But this year, word is that boot camp and judge's houses are icksnayed in favor of some other middle round. What will it be? We can't wait to find out.
Mimicking last season’s two-night structure, The X Factor Season 3 will air for two hours on Wednesday nights (8-10) with results shows on Thursdays (8-9) before Glee. On the first night of auditions, Wednesday is just 1 hour (before the finale of Master Chef) and Thursday is two hours long.
New judges Paulina Rubio (who wears a sequin bodysuit like no other) and bootylicious Destiny’s Child alumna Kelly Rowland join Demi and Simon on the panel this season. Let’s hope that they pick things up faster than departed co-host Khloe Kardashian, who couldn’t seem to figure out that when Simon is speaking, no one else must make a peep.
