Sad news, Kelly Rowland fans. The X Factor's newest judge won't be appearing at Saturday's Summer Jam 2013 concert, because the entire event has been canceled. We'll give you a moment to mourn the loss.

Apparently, Summer Jam 2013 (sponsored by radio station The Beat) was scrapped because of declining ticket sales, and we blame Chris Brown. This controversial dude was poised to headline the concert, but was dropped after demanding a $25k charter flight from Los Angeles to Waco, Texas, in order to accommodate an upcoming court date. Sigh, celebrities.

“Obviously, the damage was
done [with the Brown cancellation]," station manager and owner Edward Graham, told WacoTrib. "We tried to overcome it, but just couldn’t. I think it was a case of a horse traveling with bad news travels faster.”

Unfortunately, the local yokels of Waco stopped snatching up tickets after Chris Brown was dropped from the concert, and apparently it didn't make sense for Kelly to be a headliner in such a large venue.

Um, come again? Kelly could sell out stadiums, sob! Her body's too bootylicious for all of you! This gal was the highlight of Beyonce's super bowl halftime show!

Now, excuse us while we drown our sorrow in X Factor reruns and listen to our collection of circa 1990s NOW That's What I Call Music albums.
