We can’t believe that such a gigantic voice lives inside of petite little Rion Paige. The 13-year-old from Jacksonville, Florida, busted the roof off the mother during Week 1, Day 1 of auditions on X Factor 2013, singing Carrie Underwood’s “Blown Away.”

(If you’re curious whether Rion makes it into the top 16, click here!)

It was a pretty appropriate song choice, given how blown away the judges were by her performance. (We were pretty impressed ourselves, not gonna lie.) Rion inspired the often-gruff Simon Cowell to tell her it was “one of the easiest” yeses he’s ever given on the show. And considering he basically discovered Carrie Underwood, that’s mighty big praise. Check out her audition yourself to see how she stacks up against the American Idol winner and country superstar.

Rion also has one of the best attitudes to ever face the judges’ panel. Though born with a congenital disorder entitled arthrogryposis multiplex congenita (AMC), which causes malformation of the joints and muscle weakness, she hasn’t let it stop her from pursuing her dreams. And why should she? At 13, she has a powerful country voice with major crossover potential, looks for days, and a winning personality. Triple threat for sure!
