James Kenney has totally got The X Factor. This multi-talented man not only can sing soul like few other contestants, he’s got a built in fan base in his wife and two totally adorable daughters (matching pink dresses? Cuteness overload!). Oh and did we mention he can also fix your toilet if it backs up?

From Portland, Oregon, James works in apartment property management to pay the bills but has always wanted to sing. In fact, he’s given The X Factor a go before, appearing on Season 1 and making it all the way to the Top 32 and Judges’s Houses. Now that he’s returned for his second chance, James not holding back. He auditioned with arguably one of the most popular reality music TV show songs out there: “Summertime.” The 35-year-old’s take on the tune, however, had the judges commenting during the performance.

“This version of this is nice,” Kelly Rowland whispers to fellow judge Simon Cowell. “It’s a lot of soul.”

After wrapping up his performance with one final rift, James turned to the judges — who had nothing but praise for the singer! “That was a pretty sexy song,” Demi says, blushing all the while. “I think the song choice was brilliant,” adds Simon.

When it came time to cast their votes, the judges tried to outdo one another in their enthusiasm with Kelly taking the cake with her “Hell yeah!”  Looks like we’ve got ourselves a frontrunner!
