The X Factor’s latest elimination stage, “The Four Chair Challenge,” has contestants on the edge of their seats (literally). Will they or will they stay safe for another round and make it through to the Top 16?

The Four Chair Challenge proved particularly difficult for contestant Tim Olstad. During October 9’s episode, Tim first earned his spot performing “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus. He so wowed the crowd and the judges, it seemed like Tim would easily make it to the Top 16, but then 13-year-old Timmy Thames performed and judge Paulina Rubio bumped the 24-year-old.

Not so fast, cried the crowd. Amid loud boos and equally loud chants of “We want Tim!” Paulina signaled she had something to say to the recently booted contestant. A flustered Tim reappeared on stage and Paulina admitted she’d made a mistake.

Turns out, Paulina wants the star from Minnesota back into the competition — and the crowd roars! Unfortunately, Paulina’s change of heart meant another painful switcheroo and fellow contestant Al Calderon was sent home.

What did you make of the reversal? Did Paulina make the right call or should Al Calderon have stayed? Sound off in the comments below.
