Whether they mean to or not, the folks over at The X Factor are throwing America some major curveballs this year. Most recently, the first round of voting during Live Shows went completely awry with the contestants forced to perform twice in the same week, an upset that resulted in some other major changes for the week ahead.

The results from that Thursday night show will be announced during tomorrow night’s (November 13) two-hour Live Show with one contestant going home. The remaining 12 will give the '80s a spin before barring any new technical difficulties — eliminations air live during the one-hour November 14 episode with two performers sent home packing.

If you’re counting, that’s three eliminations in a single week — a brutal cut most likely needed since Josh Levi was brought back as a wildcard contestant and made the Top 12 the Top 13.

To get the show back on course, we need a Top 10 by the end of this week so X Factor can get to the customary top three finalists for the scheduled December 18 and 19 finale nights.

Also in store for Thursday night’s live elimination show: two guest performers! Selena Gomez got bumped after last week’s unplanned second round of performances, so she’ll be joining X Factor alums Fifth Harmony on the X stage.

Sound like a lot to squeeze into an hour? We agree, but X Factor’s faced worst (aka last week’s voting snafu).
