Carly Rose Sonenclar may not have won Season 2 of The X Factor US, but she was this close to taking the crown away from country superstar Tate Stevens (wondering what he's up to? We've got the deets). There's no denying that Carly is a bonafide starlet, and she's poised to take over the industry with her stellar set of pipes any day now!
According to her website, Carly "has set her sights and her voice on taking the music world by storm," and it looks like she's doing just that. Carly's working hard on an album full of original music that she's writing and recording (it'll be a mixture of soul and pop!), and this holiday she's giving a special gift to her fans –– a concert on December 15 that will stream live with a portion of all proceeds going to UNICEF! Even better? She'll be debuting an original song during the event.
Carly's stayed in touch with her X Factor family (by which we mean Mario Lopez's dimples) and even stopped by Extra to chat with our boy Mario about how much she wants to work with Bruno Mars, as well as how much she's loving the process of making her album. She even dished on her crush and the type of guy she likes! Because, yes...Mario asked her about that.
In other news, Carly isn't limiting herself to being a musician. Nope, this renaissance woman has also been trying her hand at acting, and back in October she appeared in an episode of Law and Order: SVU playing Grace, a contestant on a X Factor-esque music competition! Sigh, girl can do it all.
