You guys, this time next week we’ll know who the Season 3 winner of The X Factor is. Crazy, right? After a seemingly endless line-up of brutal double eliminations, we’ve finally reached a week when just one person is going home but that hardly made tonight’s (December 12) show any easier.

In the one-hour elimination episode we faced one of the toughest Bottom Twos yet. With each semifinalist performing two songs this week — one selected by a judge and the other his or her choosing — there was twice as much talent on display. Plus, this is the Top 4 we’re talking about, only the cream of the crop for this year’s round of X Factor. Still, somebody has to go home and this week Jeff Gutt and Restless Road faced off to claim a spot in the finale.

Also performing, Carlito Olivero of Paulina’s team who performed Elvis Crespo’s “Suavemente.” Then came Alex & Sierra of Simon’s team and their take on Passenger’s “Let Her Go.”

Unfortunately, by the end of the night Restless Road was cut, which means the following contestants were left standing for next week’s grand finale:

Boys (Paulina Rubio)Carlito Olivero

Over 25s (Kelly Rowland)Jeff Gutt

Groups (Simon Cowell)Alex & Sierra

What do you make of the Top 3? Do you think the winner’s in the mix? Sound off in the comments below.
