'Tis the season to binge-eat candy canes, and what better way to celebrate than by watching the X Factor contestants fight for their lives? This week, our beautiful love children performed fan-picked songs and worked their acoustic side, and the results were nothing short of miraculous. Like, we're pretty sure a thousand babies were just immaculately conceptioned. Check out the 3 best performances of the episode!
1. Carly Rose Sonenclar
Carly is here and she's slaying all your faves. Also, by "your faves," we mean Justin Bieber. This gal's rendition of "As Long As You Love Me" by The Biebs was jaw-dropping, and we expect Beliebers to attack her in an angry mob any second now. Also, Demi says Carly reminds her of JoJo (not to be confused with Fat Joe), which we can totally see — especially after her stunning vocals on "If I Were a Boy" by Beyonce. The chillbumps are crawling down our spine!
Guys, Emblem3 skated away their anxiety, and now they're ready to rock your beanie off. Their acoustic version of "Just the Way You Are" by Bruno Mars was even better than a game of hackie sack. Plus, we loved the fact that they sat on crates like a bunch of seamen. And their performance of "Forever Young" by Rod Stewart had our inner child weeping! We just want to frolic on a tire swing while Emblem3 enthusiastically high-fiving us.
3. Diamond White
Last week, Diamond was in the bottom two. But haters to the left — this gal is back like a Phoenix rising from the ashes of Britney's discarded weaves. Her rendition of James Brown's "This Is a Man's Word" was even more empowering than watching Beyonce wag her finger (we're burning our bras as we speak), but let's talk about what's important: Diamond's performance of "Diamonds," in which she ascended from a giant metal diamond. Triple meta. So many diamonds, all of them shining stars.
