We’ve always said that there’s only one Britney Spears. Now, it appears we’re wrong.

On March 26, Madame Tussauds in NYC unveiled a new wax likeness of the 31-year-old former
X Factor judge. By the way, is the wax non-“toxic”? Just wondering.

This new statue is based on Britney’s appearance at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, in which she looked as fabulous as ever in a shimmering silver dress and blonde curls.

This is the second wax facsimile of Brit at the popular tourist attraction. (Oops, they did it again!) In 2003, the wax museum added a statue of Britney that shows her performing in concert while hanging from a stripper pole.

We loved that first replica of her, but it’s a little hard to see her face, so we think it makes sense that she gets a second one. Plus, the new statue reflects Britney’s more mature present-day persona.

So do you think the statue looks like her? We would say that it’s not exactly a mirror image, but it definitely captures the pop star’s essence.

And if you’ve never been “lucky” enough to meet Britney in person, seeing her wax self might be the next best thing.
