Happy December, y’all! This month is about to be off to an über-lousy start for two contestants, as they get sent back home to obscurity tonight. Who will it be? Let’s find out, shall we?

But first, a Michael Jackson tribute from our Top 7! “Man in the Mirror!” (Spoiler alert: New Directions is singing this next week on Glee. Their version is totally better, shhh.) The best part of the Top 7’s performance is Rachel ’s royal blue sequined jacket, it’s awesome. Also, Steve looks like he’s got on an overabundance of eyeliner. Distracting.

After an incredibly long recap of last night’s episode (come on, we were all there, get on with it!) and a commercial, it’s time for some results! Safe: Chris Rene, Melanie Amaro, Rachel Crow. Still sweating it out: Josh, Drew, Marcus and Astro.

Next up is a guest performance from UK rapper Tinie Tempah. His stage set is even crazier than the usual Factor madness, and he has an actual guitar player, so hooray for hip-hop with live instruments! The performance itself isn’t much to talk about, really.

One more person will be declared safe, and that person is... Josh Krajcik! Yay. Which means out of Drew, Astro and Marcus, only one person is making it to next week. Our money’s on Drew, but stranger things have happened. And the first person leaving tonight is... Astro. Too bad — he added something interesting to the show. He’s taking it well, though — much better than his near-miss a few weeks ago. He thanks his fans and L.A. Reid and is generally pretty cheerful about things.

So between Drew and Marcus, there’s no way the judges will send Drew home, right?

After yet another commercial, it’s time for Drew to sing what they’re calling her “save me song,” which is Roxette’s “Listen To Your Heart.” She’s very emotional and she sounds a little shaky, but the crowd is very obviously on her side. She starts belting near the end and it gets a little rough — if the judges base their decision on tonight’s vocals, she could be in trouble. Steve runs and hugs her at the end of the song, aw. She looks so tiny next to his gargantuan self.

Marcus follows and makes a little speech before he sings about how he’s been trying to give his heart and soul to... the audience, we guess? Or the judges? Whatever, he’s giving it to someone, while singing Gladys Knight’s “Neither One of Us (Wants to Be the First to Say Goodbye).” Marcus is also emotional, and there are some shrieky moments, but overall it’s probably better vocally than Drew was. Ultimately, this is going to come down to who the judges prefer overall. Unless they throw it to the audience vote again, like last week.

When we come back from the final commercial break, it’s time for the judges to make their decision. L.A. will obviously be keeping Marcus because that’s his boy — yup! Simon, in the least Simon-y manner we’ve ever seen him, takes full responsibility for Drew’s appearance in the bottom and pretty much begs the other judges to keep her. Nicole votes to send Drew home, which leaves it up to Paula, who, surprisingly, sends Drew home without much difficulty.

Drew starts absolutely bawling, and oh man, this is painful. Simon comes up on stage with her, and he is pissed. Rachel and Melanie run to Drew and throw themselves on her while they all cry. This got really depressing really fast! Steve asks Drew for any last words and she lets us know that Jesus loves all of us. So... silver lining?!

And then there were 5. Next week, Josh, Chris, Rachel, Melanie and Marcus will battle for our votes. Do you think the right people went home tonight?
